All car parks owned by Aalto University Properties Ltd on the Otaniemi campus area will move over to a disc parking system. During this autumn, signs will be set up in the car parks, permitting either 4 hour (mainly visitor parking) or 20 hour parking with a parking disc. No parking fees will be introduced this year.

The introduction of disc parking aims to ensure that there are free parking spaces available as often as possible. In addition, it enables the elimination of abandoned vehicles that unnecessarily take up parking spaces or block emergency access roads.

The City of Espoo controls the parking in the area. Parking control inspectors will issue parking tickets for any parking violations using the City’s rates.
